Jean Hudick, 66, of Dupont, died on Monday morning at the VNA Hospice Unit, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.
She was born in Dupont on February 26, 1940, a daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Kaplarka) Hudick. She was a graduate of St. John’s Catholic High School, Pittston, Class of 1958. She was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Pittston.
Prior to retirement, Jean was employed as a bookkeeper at the Wilkes-Barre Wholesale Co., Wilkes-Barre.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Williams and Helen Cleary; and brother Michael.
Surviving are three sisters, Dorothy Hudick, Dupont; Martha Graboski, Pittston; and Mary Naida, Old Forge; her companion, George Sabol; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Kizis-Lokuta Funeral Home, 134 Church St., Pittston, with a Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, N. Main St., Pittston, with the Rev. Michael Krulak officiating.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. A Parastas service will be held on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
