Anne V. Peters, 96, formerly of Kingston, died Wednesday morning at the
home of her daughter, Carole Peters Deering, in Wallingford. She was born May
was educated in the Edwardsville schools and resided with her family in Center
Moreland for a number of years where she was an active member of Blessed
Sacrament Church. She recently participated in the 50th anniversary
celebration of the church as one of the two oldest living members. The family
moved to Kingston in 1960, and she was employed at the former Hollywood Shop,
Wilkes-Barre for many years. Mrs. Peters was a member of St. Ignatius Church,
Kingston.
She has resided with her son, Raymond J. Peters, in Bucks County for the
past year so that she could spend more time with her family members living in
the Philadelphia area. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years,
Edward J. Peters, who died in 1995, and seven brothers and two step brothers.
Surviving are sons, Edward J. Peters, Jr., Huntington, Conn.; Raymond J.
Peters, Langhorne; daughter, Carole Anne Peters Deering, Wallingford; seven
grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 from Maher-Collins Funeral Home,
Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hanover Township. Friends
may call Friday from 6-9. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be
