ack Freas Koons, 79, of Huntington Mills, died Friday at Geisinger Medical
Center, Danville.



Born May 27, 1922 in Huntington Mills, he was the son of the late L. Rufus
and Jessica Lenore (Freas) Koons. He was a graduate of Wyoming Seminary,
Kingston, and attended Bucknell College. He retired as a trust officer at the
Wyoming National Bank. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was
active as a Boy Scout leader for many years. He was a member of Sylvania Lodge
No. 354 F and AM, Caldwell Consistory, Bloomsburg, and the Calumet
Photographic Society in Illinois.

Surviving are his wife, the former Kathleen Bobbett; son, Jon Craig, Clarks
Summit; and one granddaughter.



Memorial services will be held at a later date. There will be no calling
hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Townhill United Methodist Church,

Home Inc., 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek.
