Elizabeth R. Nametko, 87, of Sawgrass Place, Cassleberry, Fla., died July


She was born in Wilkes-Barre, Nov. 28, 1917, a daughter of the late Anthony
and Skolastika Dougirt. She was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School. She
had resided in Wharton, N.J., for many years, where she had been the owner of
a retail store. She then relocated to Florida in 1990.
She has been preceded in death by her husband, Bernard P. Nametko, Oct. 11,

Dougirt. She was also preceded by a grandson, Gary Nametko.

Surviving are a son, John R. Nametko, Randolph, N.J.; daughter Joan B.
Daspin, Boonton, N.J.; grandchildren Michelle Shaffer, Jeremy Daspin, Ronald
Nametko, John Nametko, Cheryl Stella; great- grandchildren MiMi Sophia
Shaffer, Ryan Nametko, Sherry Nametko, Samantha Nametko, Jason Nametko; sister
Catherine Dougirt, Cassleberry, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the Nat & Gawlas
Funeral Home, Park Avenue and South Street, Wilkes-Barre, with a Funeral Mass
at 9 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, East South Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment
will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery Bear Creek.
