Helen Federici, 89, of Kingston, died Tuesday evening in her sleep
surrounded by her loving family. Born in Swoyersville, she was the daughter of
the late Anthony and Mary Brutko Mandycz. She was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, and friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; son Thomas; sister,
Josephine Reilly; brothers, George and Raymond.
Surviving are a son, Marty and wife, Maureen ,of Luzerne; daughter-in-law,
Angie Hershberger of Swoyersville; grandchildren, Marty, Jr., Marc, Tommy Jr.,
Gina, Angela, and Peter; great-grandchildren, Janet, Peter, Tom, Dominic and
Kyle; brothers, Anthony Mandycz Jr., Luzerne; Leonard Mandycz, Bath; Albert
Mandycz, Monmouth Jct., New Jersey; and sister, Mary Ann Timek, Pittston Twp.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Betz-Jastremski
Funeral Home, Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne, with Rev. Lewis Falcone
officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends
may call on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.
