You couldn't ask for a better start than the Yankees have gotten in this ALCS, taking both of their home games to go up 2-0 for the first time since their title-winning 2009 team. They haven't played their best ball, benefitting from a number of mistakes from the Guardians, but part of being a great playoff team is capitalizing off of those mistakes whenever possible and for the most part they have. Now they'll get a day off to travel over to Cleveland and prepare to press their advantage, and the NL side of the field will have the spotlight for the day.

While the action is taking a short break, we're still rolling on ahead. David hands out our Player of the Game for Game 2 to Anthony Rizzo to start us off, Matt covers the lone blemish on the 1999 playoff run in today's 1999 Diary, Nick Sarnelli dives into how Carlos Rodón turned around the narrative around himself with a tough as nails performance in Game 1, and Peter breaks down Giancarlo Stanton's adjustments leading to his homer in Game 1.

Championship Series Schedule: NLCS Game 3 Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets (Series tied, 1-1) (RHP Walker Buehler vs. RHP Luis Severino)

Time: 8:08 p.m. ET TV: FS1 Venue: Citi Field, Flushing, NY
