In our weekly list of business people on the move, we highlight Palm Beach County professionals who are making a difference. They are moving up within their industry, advancing their careers and standing out for their services within our community.

Boca-based Flagler Technologies adds executive assistant

Boca Raton-based Flagler Technologies recently announced the addition of Casey Gates as executive assistant. Gates has spent the early part of her career in roles with Bay Club in California, and ADP, where she excelled maximizing client relations, partnerships and sales. Flagler Technologies, an outcome-oriented company with a team of experienced professionals and a pioneering spirit, helps clients tackle disruption due to digital challenges.

Truly Nolen promotes veteran employee

Truly Nolen Pest Control recently announced the promotion of Justin Wichman to people development manager. When not in the field, Wichman will remain based at the company's West Palm Beach service office in Greenacres. Wichman joined the company in 2015, and over the last nine years, he has served in multiple roles as well as having been a trainer and a mentor. Founded in 1938, Tucson, Arizona-based Truly Nolen of America is one of the largest family-owned pest control companies in the United States.

Goldlaw attorney makes prestigious list for 14th year

Spencer T. Kuvin, chief legal officer with Goldlaw, has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2025 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for Personal Injury Litigation ― Plaintiffs in West Palm Beach. This is the 14th year that Kuvin has been included in the listing. Founded in 2002, Goldlaw has offices in West Palm Beach and Port St. Lucie, representing clients injured in auto accidents, slip-and-falls, nursing home abuse, inadequate security, or any other incident where someone's negligence causes another person to be injured or killed.

Palm Beach Gardens firm's partner achieves rare designation

Comiter Singer has announced that firm partner Christopher C. Weeg, having passed the wills, trusts, and estates board certification exam, has reached the distinguished mark of dual certification. Weeg is now one of only 29 lawyers in Florida to hold board certification in both tax law and wills, trusts, and estates. Comiter Singer is headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens.

South Florida Jewish aide groups name five board members

Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family Service and Melvin J. & Clare Levine Jewish Residential & Family Service recently announced five new members to the organizations' 2024-2025 boards of directors. Alpert JFS is a nationally accredited service provider for children, adults, seniors, and Holocaust survivors. The non-profit delivers high-quality care to over 12,000 people each year, from Boynton Beach to Vero Beach. Levine JRFS provides a continuum of cutting-edge residential services for adults struggling with mental illness as well as those who are learning and/or developmentally disabled. The goal is to optimize residents' potential, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives in a less restrictive environment. The new members joining the Alpert JFS board of directors are Scott GlassmanEmily GrabelskyMindy Steiner Nichols, and Barbara ShearEllen Forrest is joining the Levine JFRS board of directors.

Florida Outreach Center for the Blind adds to board of directors

Arthur Mehr, Ph.D., Michelle Rogers, and Drew Wright recently joined Florida Outreach Center for the Blind's board of directors. They bring their talents to the center in Palm Springs, where the center has been providing free classes, training and more to the blind and visually-impaired for over 20 years. Mehr has a a Ph.D. from the University of Rhode Island. He is employed by Los Alamos Scientific Lab (University of New Mexico). Rogers has an MBA in marketing and operations concentration, and completed Executive MBA courses at Northwestern University. She is a managing director with Synergetics Worldwide Consulting. Wright has a B.A. in advertising from Southern Methodist University and for over 30 years, has held the positions of personal risk advisor and senior business development leader at Marsh USA in Palm Beach and Willis Personal Lines in West Palm Beach.

Center for Child Counseling bolsters board with addition

The Center for Child Counseling board of directors recently voted in Justin Perry, Ph.D., as its newest member. Perry is dean of the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University and has a Ph.D. in counseling psychology and a master's degree in mental health counseling, both from Boston College. Center for Child Counseling has been building the foundation for playful, healthful, and hopeful living for children and families in Palm Beach County since 1999.

Historical Society curator honored by City of West Palm Beach

Debi Murray, chief curator of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County, recently received the service award for preservation of the built environment from the city of West Palm Beach. City historic preservation planner Benjamen Salata presented Murray with the award on Aug. 27 at city hall. The award is an extension of the city's recognition of National Preservation Month. A West Palm Beach native, Murray has bachelor's and master's degrees in history from Florida Atlantic University. Since 1999, she has managed all aspects of research and the archives for the society. Jeremy Johnson, president and chief executive officer of the society, said "Debi has helped to transform and grow the society over her twenty-five years here."
