Top PFF grades from No. 7 Texas' 57-7 win over Texas Tech
After the No. 7 Texas Longhorns’ 57-7 win over Texas Tech (6-6, 5-4) from Darrell K Royal Stadium on Saturday night, Inside Texas takes a look at the Pro Football Focus grades on offense and defense following the Longhorns (11-1, 8-1) clinching their first 11-win regular season since 2009 and heading to the 2023 Big 12 Championship in Arlington next week.
– Quinn Ewers , 73.5, Arch Manning , 64.2
Ewers was solid from the snap, going 17-of-26 passing for 196 yards, one touchdowns and one interception. Then freshman Arch Manning appeared....
Manning’s debut was highly anticipated as was this completion to Johntay Cook
RB – Jaydon Blue , 79.6, Savion Red , 81.2
Blue filled in admirably after CJ Baxter was dinged up and stole the show with a career-high 121 yards on the ground including a 69-yard scoring run, and 14 yards receiving on a pair of catches. Red added some burst, with 72 yards on nine touches.
WR – Jordan Whittington , 71.3, Xavier Worthy , 67.0
While the rushing attack and the other two phases of football were dominant, Whittington and Worthy were clutch, as usual. Worthy’s second half scoring catch helped the Horns.
TE – Ja’Tavion Sanders , 66.7
Sanders was the target on Saturday, with 45 yards receiving on three catches for the All Big 12 tight end.
OL – Jake Majors , 68.0, Cameron Williams , 68.3
Offensive linemen Majors (52 snaps) and Williams (24 snaps) anchored the O-line attack up front.
DL/EDGE – T’Vondre Sweat , 80.3, Alfred Collins , 70.2
Sweat (38 snaps) and Collins (40 snaps) continued the Texas defensive domination with Sweat and Collins adding nine tackles, one sacks, and 1.5 tackles for loss.
LB – Jaylan Ford , 90.8, Anthony Hill Jr , 68.5, Jett Bush , 75.5
Ford was tremendous with a team-high eight tackles. Hill Jr. (32 snaps) tallied four tackles and one sack as well in another strong performance from the front seven. Bush added a pick-six interception and sack in his senior farewell.
CB/N – Malik Muhammad , 78.1, Terrance Brooks , 78.9
With both combining for four tackles and two interceptions, Brooks (45 snaps) led the cornerbacks in grades, while Muhammad (34 snaps) added the turnover of the day.

– Derek Williams , 70.5, Kitan Crawford , 65.6
The safety duo of Williams (33 snaps) and Crawford (26 snaps) were solid in most spots, with Williams adding six tackles and Crawford notching an 80.5% tackling grade.
