TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters is inviting men to its Mentorship Matters event Wednesday night.

Organizers of the mentoring program are looking to match male role models to boys in the community this week. Right now, two-thirds of the 155 kids on the wait list are boys.

"It's somebody that is there to support you, listen to you, be there for you," said Eric Maydew, area director. "The more of those you can get in your life, the better your chances of success are."
