Tory Lanez Demands Medical Records From Woman Suing Him
Tory Lanez demanded the woman suing him over alleged injuries she sustained in a nasty car accident be ordered to turn over medical records, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Tory and his legal team demanded his subpoena for medical records for Krishna Grullon be approved by the court.
Back in 2022, Tory was sued by Krishna and Jesse Grullon in Miami Court.
In the lawsuit, the duo accused Tory of side swiping their car on January 1, 2021.
Tory, who denied he was involved in any car accident on the date in question, said the woman has dragged her feet on signing authorization for him to obtain her medical records.
Now, the rapper wants the judge to sign off on his request. The subpoena asks for Krishna's medical provider to turn over all medical records, including psychiatric/psychological/mental health records.
A judge has yet to rule. In the lawsuit, Krishna said she was driving a car with Jesse as the front passenger when Tory, who was operating a 2017 Bentley Bentayga, "negligently operated and/or maintained the motor vehicle by crashing into the rear left side of" their car. Krishna said it all happened when she exited the highway.
Her lawyer said, "once off of the highway, [Krishna] was in the left lane at the immediate red light at a complete stop waiting for the green light when [Tory], suddenly side swiped [Krishna's car] on the rear side in a matte green Bentley SUV with white rims."
The suit accused Tory of leaving the scene following the collision without getting out of his car. Krishna said she was four months pregnant at the time. Krishna and Jesse accused Tory of failing to maintain a proper lookout, failing to use due car, failing to yield and failing to obey a traffic signal. Krishna said she suffered pain and suffering, loss of past wages, loss of future earning capacity, mental anguish and loss of enjoyment of life due to the crash.
The lawsuit demanded unspecified damages. Tory denied all allegations of wrongdoing.
He argued, "For a first affirmative defense, defendant would show unto the court that the plaintiffs negligence contributed to the accident and his/her injury and damages because of his/her own negligence, and any recovery by the plaintiff is diminished or extinguished thereby."
On top of that, Tory denied he was involved in any accident on January 1, 2021. His lawyer said, "there was no accident."
As In Touch previously reported, in August 2023, Tory was sentenced to 10 years in prison after he was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion after a 2020 party. The rapper was found guilty of three charges of negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying an unregistered gun. His attempts to appeal the verdict have been unsuccessful. Tory denies he was responsible for the shooting.
