ANN ARBOR, MI – A carefully curated collection of mid-century modern furniture sets the stage for a well-preserved 1960s home on the Huron River.

Built in 1963, the home at 3545 Woodland Road in Ann Arbor Township was designed by an apprentice of noted local architect Robert Metcalf. Built into a hillside off a private drive just blocks away from Ann Arbor's city-owned Huron Hills Golf Course, the split-level home is part of a serene neighborhood featuring several other architecturally-significant mid-century homes.

Listed at $915,000 by Realtor Krista Dragun of Coldwell Banker Realty , the 4-bedroom, 2-and-a-half bathroom split-level home is MLive's House of the Week. Homes from across the state are showcased each Wednesday.

Guests enter the home through a foyer hallway that immediately offers views over the wrap-around deck of the wooded backyard.

The home's living room – like most of its living spaces – is decorated with vintage mid-century furniture from Salt City Antiques. Owner Emily Heintz worked with Dragun and Steven Hudock of Salt City Antiques to stage the home with furniture, decorations and artwork that match its architectural pedigree.

The kitchen blends original cabinets and shelving with updated tile, quartz counters and high-end appliances to create a practical space that preserves a mid-century aesthetic.

Other highlights of the home include original built-in fireplaces updated to natural gas, a screened three-season with wall-to-wall views and a collection of patio furniture built with the home that will be included in the sale.

The home also features a newly-replaced roof, updated utilities including high-velocity air conditioning and a newly-installed whole-home generator.
