Transy women’s hoops continues dominant play in title repeat season
LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — The Transylvania women’s basketball team won the D-III national championship last year and finished with an undefeated 33-0 record. Their title defense is looking just as dominant.
The Pioneers are up to 4-0 this season after a 69-46 win over Wittenberg on Wednesday night at the Clive M. Beck Center in Lexington. They are coming off wins over Maryville College and Wisconsin Lutheran College in the Pat Deacon Classic last weekend.

After a 21-9 advantage in the 1st quarter, Transy locked down even more for a 20-3 advantage in the 2nd quarter, highlighted by a thrilling sequence with Emilie Teall burying a triple, Stacy getting a steal and Dasia Thornton finding Sadie Wurth for another triple before half ended.
Transy is back in action on Saturday, December 2nd at home against Defiance College to start HCAC conference play.
