True story of Limerick fraudster Pat Sheedy unveiled in new true crime podcast

The Gambler, a GoLoud Original Podcast produced by the award-winning team behind The Witness tells the story of Pat Sheedy – a convicted fraudster from Moyross, Limerick, who perpetrated multiple cons to fund a gambling addiction that spiralled out of control and consumed his life.

Over the course of 18-months, Ms Tallant and Mr Maleney have delved into every aspect of Sheedy's story, from his troubled beginnings to his descent into fraud and ongoing attempts at redemption, The Gambler provides an in-depth look at the complexities of addiction, crime, and personal transformation.

The podcast combines interviews with Sheedy himself, his victims, and gambling addiction experts and listeners can expect to explore themes of manipulation, guilt, addiction and the quest for redemption.

The first two episodes of The Gambler will be released on November 19, with the third episode following on the 21st and then one episode per week (releasing on Tuesdays).
