ARCHDALE — Supporters of former President Donald Trump will campaign in Archdale on Thursday afternoon at the early voting site in northern Randolph County as part of a statewide bus tour.

The Team Trump Bus Tour, which doesn't include Trump, is scheduled to be at the Randolph Community Services Building at 213 Balfour Drive about 3:45 p.m. during the first day for in-person early voting in North Carolina. Those who are scheduled to be there include South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Republican National Committee chairman Michael Whatley and senior Trump adviser Corey Lewandowski.

The Archdale stop is part of a three-day tour that began Wednesday morning in Burlington and had 10 stops scheduled, ending Friday in Wayne County in eastern North Carolina.

The Trump tour takes place against the backdrop of North Carolina serving as a battleground state for the presidential contest between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, who campaigned in Greenville this past Sunday. Polls have shown a tight race in North Carolina between the two candidates.
