Twin Ports Interchange to experience overnight closures
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is set to close northbound access to the 1-535 Blatnik Bridge into Duluth on Thursday, November 7th. The closures will take place from 1AM to 5AM as crews work to remove current temporary roadway lighting.
A signed tour will follow the Highway 2 Bong Bridge.
Other overnight closures for the installation of overhead signs as part of the Twin Ports Interchange Project include: – Temporary closures from 9PM on November 6th to 5AM on November 7th on the southbound lane of I-535 Blatnik Bridge. Motorists are advised to use the Bong Bridge.
– The southbound I-35 ramp to southbound I-535 (Blatnik Bridge) will be closed from 9PM on November 5th, to 5AM on November 6th. It will close again from 9PM on November 6th to 5AM on November 7th.
– I-35 southbound will be reduced to one lane from Mesaba Avenue to 27th Avenue West during the same times.
