Two more men charged in deadly Meridian Street shooting
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Two more men have been charged in a deadly shooting on October 12 on Meridian Street.
The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) said Dion Earl Ernest Roos-VorHauer, 19, of Huntsville and Jordan C Lakes, 20, of Huntsville are both facing a reckless murder charge.
The department said the shooting happened at a gas station at 3310 Meridian St. at about 9:50 p.m. 22-year-old Damien Obrien Manning was pronounced dead on the scene and a second victim was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition.
Police say Roos-VorHauer was booked into the Madison County Jail on Nov. 5 and Lakes was booked into the Madison County Jail on Thursday, Nov. 7.
In October, three other men were charged with reckless murder for the shooting: Jordan Latrell Smith, 21 ; Kennedy Thomas Turner, 20; and Tyler O'Neal Andrade, 21.
HPD said more arrests are still expected in this shooting, and the HPD Major Crimes Unit is still investigating.
