UberEats worker earns $6 for the easiest delivery he's ever made

An UberEats worker will probably never get an easier job after making a 200m delivery. Driver Feras only had to walk 75 steps from a Hungry Jack's restaurant in Brisbane to make his delivery to a hungry customer, earning $6. Feras told Yahoo News that he was 'a little surprised' when the booking came through. He considered driving the short distance but opted to walk. 'I looked at my car and thought, let me just walk it,' he said. 'I don't know how much the customer paid or how much Uber made... I think I got like $6.' To make the delivery, Feras simply had to cross a one-way street between the Hungry Jack's restaurant and the customer's address. Apart from the short distance, Feras said it was an easy delivery which consisted of enough food for only 1-2 people. 'It was not heavy... in fact, the paper bag wasn't even overpacked,' he said. 'Maybe (enough food) for one or two people.' It remains unclear why the customer didn't go to the Hungry Jack's restaurant to pick up their order and save $6. Having worked as a delivery driver in the UK as well as Australia, Feras has noticed a major difference between customers in the two countries. He said customers in the UK don't pay delivery costs for short distance jobs, unlike do in Australia. He revealed that 900m deliveries are common in Australia and that Brisbane has faster paced deliveries than London . He said the benefit over Brisbane to London is less traffic and he enjoys the customers here. 'There are some impatient people sometimes, but overall positive.' Following his short 200m delivery, Feras jokingly talked himself up. 'I'm not your typical Joe delivery guy, I'm a delivery hero,' he said. Uber Eats delivery drivers have posted about their shortest deliveries on Reddit . One Uber Eats delivery driver wrote they delivered to the same McDonald's restaurant. 'The guy was actually in there and he said he ordered on Uber Eats to pick it up himself.' 'Idk why but he gave me the pin and everything. He said it must have been a glitch and even tipped me.' 'Was literally a 2 second 'delivery' for $8,' they wrote. Another Uber Eats delivery driver recalled howthey delivered groceries to the apartments right above the grocery shop where the items were purchased from. 'Easiest drop ever,' they wrote.
