UH announces new urgent care location

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) – University Hospitals has opened a new urgent care facility in Cleveland Heights .

UH Urgent Care Cleveland Heights–The Ascent is located at 12301 Cedar Road.

UH also chose the location because of its location to a mass transit bus route, in an effort to help increase access for people in the community.

The new urgent care center will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.

The facility offers services including on-site x-rays, lab tests, EKGs, and medication dispensing.

"Our UH Urgent Care delivery model aims to provide the most convenient and valuable care for our patients," said UH Chief Operating Officer Paul Hinchey, MD, MBA. "Having easy access to urgent care locations offers a more affordable option than emergency departments for patients needing immediate, non-life-threatening medical attention."

With the opening of this location, UH Urgent Care now operates a total of 25 facilities across Northeast Ohio.
