Uhas’ 2 Goals Help Colonels Beat Cougars In Soccer

EDWARDSVILLE – Steve Uhas scored two goals and Andy Curry also scored and
Paul Gideon added an assist as Wilkes defeated Misericordia 3-1 Wednesday in
men’s soccer.

Eric Bilger scored off an assist from Matt Sosalski for the Cougars.
Dominik Proctor had nine saves for Wilkes.

Misericordia outshot Wilkes 10-5 and Kevin Franco had two saves for the
Cougars.

Lebanon Valley 2, King’s 0

ANNVILLE – King’s was outshot 15-12 and Dan Upton made three saves in net
for the Monarchs.

King’s will next participate in the Brockport State Invitational Tournament
on Saturday and Sunday.



CROSS COUNTRY

College Misericordia

READING – The men’s and women’s teams swept Alvernia at the Alvernia
Invitational.

For the men, Steve Beecher finished first overall and Barry Snyder was
second. Justin Sandy, Anthony Colardo and Jeff Adams finished fifth through
seventh respectively.

For the women, Amy Bower was first overall, Christine Manfredonia was
fourth and Mandy Ditzler finished eighth.



WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

King’s 3, Cedar Crest 0

ALLENTOWN – Elena DiGrado led King’s with eight kills, 15 service points
and six aces.

Jessica Kandefer added 11 kills and 14 digs and Katie Carr chipped in with

had 24 assists for King’s.

The Lady Monarchs will next host the King’s Invitational on Friday and
Saturday.

Misericordia 3, Keystone 1

LaPLUME – Brooke Westlake had 15 assists and 15 digs as Misericordia
bounced back from a loss in the opener. Jessica Kilmas had 34 digs.

Stephanie Marchenkolf led Keystone with 14 digs, five aces and three
blocks.



FIELD HOCKEY

Misericordia 4, King’s 2

WILKES-BARRE – College Misericordia scored four unanswered goals, led by
Annette Troutman, who scored two times.

Amy Ruda and Lunda Dickson also scored for the Cougars and Kim Daniel and
Sheena Hoffman each had an assist.

For King’s, Lindsay Sabo scored both goals and Chasity Force had an assist.

Jamie Derr made 22 saves for the Cougars and Kerri Poltersdorf had nine
stops for King’s.

Ramapo College 6, Marywood 0

SCRANTON – Heather Hosie played all 70 minutes and had 32 saves on net for
the Pacers.

Marywood will next play at the Wilkes University Tournament on Saturday and
Sunday.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

Briarcliff 2, King’s 0

WILKES-BARRE – Briarcliff College scored a goal in each half to beat
King’s.

The Lady Monarchs were outshot 15-2. Goalie Christine Uhl had 13 saves for
King’s.

The Lady Monarchs will next compete in the Hood College Tournament on
Saturday and Sunday in Frederick, Md.

Wilkes 5, Centenary 1

EDWARDSVILLE – Jennifer Compton scored a pair of unassisted goals and Kami
Roth also scored two goals to lead Wilkes.

Kristy Barsby added a goal for the Lady Colonels and Bethany Head had two
assists.

Wilkes outshot Centenary 9-6 and Katie Green had three saves in goal for
the Lady Colonels.

Stockton 2, Misericordia 1

DALLAS – Lindsay Klinepeter scored the lone goal for College Misericordia.

Carolyn Muller had an assist for the Cougars and Kathleen Schwarz had eight
saves in goal.

Misericordia will next play at Lebanon Valley on Saturday.

WOMEN’S TENNIS

Misericordia 8, Keystone 0

LAPLUME – Mallory Bieber and Sherri Bell won singles matches and teamed up
to win a doubles match to lead the Cougars in their first varsity match in
school history.

Misericordia’s Blaine Lord also won a singles and a doubles match. Olivia
Sezowski, Cara Callahan and Lean West also won singles matches for
Misericordia.
