USCG rescues two capsized kayakers from Meyers Beach

BAYFIELD, Wis. (Northern News Now) - The United States Coast Guard rescued two people after their kayaks capsized in Bayfield's Meyers Beach. According to the United States Coast Guard Great Lakes, they received a report from another kayaker that two people were in the water clinging to the source's kayak. They were in a group of eight kayaks but were unable to get back into their own. Bayfield's Surveillance and Target Acquisition team was deployed, and both kayakers were rescued. Due to the weather, the other six kayakers got into the response boat and were brought back to shore. The kayaks were recovered. There were no injuries reported.
