A Utah mom-of-five has died after being hit and killed by a 'speeding' teenage driver.

Leslie Schwendiman, 53, was walking down the street with her fiancé Steven Olsen when they were struck.

The couple had attended the wedding of Schwendiman's niece in Forsyth, Georgia when the tragedy occurred on Friday.

A teen driver came around a corner too fast and hit them from behind, according to Schwendiman's son.

His mom was killed, while Olsen was hospitalized with a 'brain leak'.

'Physically, he will be OK,' said one of Olsen's five children, Parker Olsen. 'We'll continue to monitor him and make sure he knows he's loved and cared for.'

Olsen was allowed to return home to Utah on Sunday where he has joined the family in grieving Schwendiman. The couple were due to marry in December.

'She was the best,' her son Walker Schwendiman told KSLTV. 'She loved everyone, and her love and how she made everyone feel will be here forever.'

The family are now fundraising to return her body to Salt Lake City and for Olsen's medical bills.

'Leslie's children were her entire life,' a statement on a GoFundMe for funeral costs states.

'She gathered many over the years into her home as if they were her own, including her fiancé Steve's five children.

'Leslie's warmth and love touched everyone she met, leaving a profound void in her family and the community.'

Her fiancé is currently being comforted by all of the couple's children.

'A broken heart is hard to heal but he's strong,' said his daughter Tember Olsen. 'He's the best dad we could've asked for.'

Schwendiman's sister in law also paid tribute to the late mom.

'Leslie was a people magnet of light and love,' Angie Paulson Plowigan wrote on Facebook. 'She will be greatly missed on this earth.'
