UWNCI to host annual “Power of the Purse” event in Clear Lake, Friday

NORTH IOWA (KTTC) – United Way of North Central Iowa (UWNCI) announced the return of its annual "Power of the Purse" event.

The event, set to take place on Friday, will be at the Boulevard Bar and Grill in Clear Lake, Iowa, and will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Guests will have a chance to participate in purse bingo and a live auction featuring beautiful purses and exclusive handbags.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting scholarships for women enrolled in the Education-to-Employment program at North Iowa Area Community College.

"We are excited to bring the community together for the Power of the Purse event," said Jen Arends, CEO of UWNCI. "This evening is not just about fun and fashion—it's about women empowering women in North Iowa by helping them access the education and resources they need to build a better future for themselves and their families."
