HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Vacation Myrtle Beach-branded resorts are offering deep discounts for people forced out of their homes by Tropical Storm Helene.

Three of its locations — Captain's Quarters Resort, Crown Reef Beach Resort and Waterpark and hotel BLUE — are charging between $39 and $49 a night for qualifying guests.

"We understand how devastating natural disasters can be for families and individuals," Vacation Myrtle Beach chief operating officer Matt Klugman said.

The discounted rates are available for displaced people through Oct. 20, with parking charges and additional fees waived.

All three resorts feature accommodation options with full kitchens and on-site laundry facilities.

The special rates are available to people who present proof of residency in select Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina counties upon check-in.
