Vicksburg man charged with assaulting woman in domestic dispute
VICKSBURG, Miss. ( WJTV ) – A man and a woman were hospitalized after domestic assault in Vicksburg, police said.
Police said they received a call from Merit Health River Region just after 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2. They reported a man arrived at the hospital with a stab wound to his upper body.
Vicksburg police were dispatched to the area of Churchill Drive and Indiana Avenue. A woman, who was assaulted, was found in the area. Officers determined the man and the woman were involved in the same case.

According to officers, the man, 28-year-old Daron Evans, of Vicksburg, was arrested after he was released from the hospital. He was charged with aggravated assault domestic violence. Evans is being held without bond until his initial appearance in Vicksburg Municipal Court.
The woman was transferred to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson for treatment. She is in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
