CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A Cleveland woman was detained earlier this month after allegedly bringing a gun into an elementary school.

Cleveland police responded to Luis Muñoz Marin School Dual Language Academy on Nov. 9 after receiving a call from a security guard there.

The guard had told police that the woman entered the school with a firearm, according to body camera video obtained by 19 News.

“I brought my baby to school and told the security guard like I do every single day,” the woman said.

When officers arrived, they said the woman refused to hand over her bag with the gun.

Police said they had to handcuff the woman to take the firearm.

“I didn’t do nothing wrong. I informed everybody and everything,” she said. “I do this everyday.”

The woman was not arrested and hasn’t been charged, according to Cleveland police, though detectives continue investigating.
