DETROIT - The Detroit Lions have won eight straight games, and continue to flex their muscle as legit Super Bowl contenders.

They beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 52-6 in Week 11 action back at Ford Field. And the offense had the type of day where they took the eraser to write in a long list of new franchise records in the process.

Most importantly, the Lions are 9-1, their best start to a season since the 1934 team. And for those wondering, that 1934 team was the first one to go by the Detroit Lions name.

Quarterback Jared Goff threw for 412 yards and four touchdowns, reaching a perfect passer rating (158.3) in the process. The Lions quarterback was lethal, hitting wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown on all 11 targets sent the receiver's way, and connecting with Jameson Williams on a handful of big plays.

The one negative aspect from this game was the loss of starting linebacker Alex Anzalone. The team captain suffered a broken forearm in the win and is expected to miss the next six to eight weeks.

That said, see below for MLive Lions beat writer Ben Raven's video breakdowns from Ford Field.
