Chris Arjoon/ Tom Brady congratulated Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani after he accomplished the first-ever 50-homer, 50-stolen base season in MLB history.

"Shohei, congratulations!" Brady began. "The first ever to be in the 50/50 club. What an accomplishment. But I know you got bigger goals ahead, so good luck in the postseason."

Ohtani went 6-for-6 with three home runs, 10 RBI, four runs and two stolen bases in a 20-4 win over the Miami Marlins on Thursday evening. He also became the charter member of the 51/51 club along the way as the Dodgers clinched a postseason berth.

The number 50 also happened to be an important one for Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion and three-time NFL MVP. He became the first-ever NFL quarterback to throw for 50 or more touchdowns in a single season in 2007.

As for Ohtani, he just accomplished an incredible feat in a remarkable season that has seen him post a stat line featuring a 1.005 OPS, 51 home runs, 120 RBI, 51 stolen bases and 123 runs.

But now he looks ahead to his first-ever playoff appearance. The Dodgers are still fighting for the NL West crown. L.A. is in the driver's seat for that one, four games ahead of the second-place San Diego Padres with nine matchups remaining. Up next is a three-game home series with the Colorado Rockies beginning Friday.
