The Minnesota Vikings (6-5) had their five game win streak snapped last week in Denver. The Vikings will host NFC North foe Chicago Bears (3-8) on Monday Night Football to close out the holiday weekend of football.

Will the Vikings continue their dominance of Chicago?

The Vikings have won five straight against Chicago and will go for their third straight season sweep over the Bears. Minnesota beat Chicago back in Week 6 to ignite the start of their aforementioned win streak, but these teams will look very different come Monday. Firstly, Justin Jefferson has missed the Vikings’ past six games and might sit out another in anticipation of the team’s bye in Week 13.

Bears quarterback Justin Fields got injured in that Week 6 game and was replaced by Tyson Bagent. Since then, Fields has returned and Joshua Dobbs has replaced an injured Kirk Cousins. For the Vikings to win this one, Dobbs will need to be stout against a Bears defense that forced three interceptions last week.

Can Justin Fields pick up where he left off?

Fields broke his thumb in the first meeting between these teams and returned last week in the loss to Detroit. Fields had an efficient day, both through the air and on the ground. He had 104 rushing yards and did not turn the ball over.

Fields will have his hands full with Danielle Hunter and the surging Vikings defense. Hunter leads the NFL with 16 tackles for a loss and is second with 12 sacks. The Vikings have held opponents under 22 points in five of their past six games. They have the highest blitz rate in the league, so Fields must be prepared to face significant pressure.

Caesars Sportsbook best bet: Minnesota Vikings -3 (-100)

All of the recent trends and history favor the Vikings in this one. The Vikings have beaten the Bears five straight times and are 4-1 ATS in that stretch. Minnesota has covered six straight games overall, the longest such streak in the NFL this season. Finally, Fields is 9-18-1 against the spread as an underdog in his career. Not exactly a spot to back the 3-8 Bears, who have a shot at the top pick in 2024′s NFL draft.

BetMGM Sportsbook best prop bet: Alexander Mattison under 45.5 rushing yards (-110)

Prior to rushing for 81 yards in last week’s win over Denver, Mattison had been under this total in seven straight games played. Additionally, last week saw the breakout of backup Ty Chandler, who ran for 73 yards on 10 carries. Look for Chandler to cut into Mattison’s workload more, limiting his opportunities.
