BEAVERTON, Mich. (WNEM) - Take a day trip to Gladwin County for a fall experience the whole family will enjoy.

The Wild Pumpkin in Beaverton offers everything from sweet treats to pumpkin picking to a petting zoo and more. For just $7 per person, you get free admission to the entire farm and it's activities.

Families can enjoy the playground, hayride, corn maze, and animal barn. The Donut Roost offers a wide variety of donut flavors, from apple cider cinnamon, to pumpkin, to maple bacon. Inside the gift shop, you can shop homemade items from several mid-Michigan vendors and artists.

While its season ends on Oct. 30, co-owner Katie Schunk is especially excited for a new event she's introducing to the farm this spring: "Babies and Blooms." Thousands of tulips will be planted at The Wild Pumpkin to walk through, along with plenty of baby animals for you to greet.

"Some of our alpacas are bred, so we'll be having some baby alpacas," said Schunk. "We'll also have baby bunnies, baby goats, and baby cows."
