MINOT,N.D.– The Minot Majettes Volleyball team are set to host the WDA Tournament this year, and they are extremely excited to compete for a championship in their home gym.

What a time to be a live during tournament time, especially if you're a Minot Majette, as they are set to host the WDA Tournament in a gym where they've gone 11-0 this season.

"Going into WDA, we're really excited to host WDA. That's defiantly something that's exciting for us to have our senior year at our own home school. So, were excited to put our best foot forward in that and we're excited for the competition to come", said Leah Walter.

"Our nerves are more excitement than they are anxious going into this. Our end goal is to make it to state this year, so that's obviously what we're looking for knowing that it's our last chance to do that. We're excited and we know that it's going to be tough teams to face and that we're going to have to put in a lot of work" said Nicole Couture.

One of the main ingredients for this Minot Majette Volleyball club is their team chemistry. An intangible quality that describes how well a group of people work together to achieve a goal.

"We've just had a lot of really good team chemistry this year. We've seem to gel really well just as a team personally. I think that's helped us so much on the court . I think it shows like, we all have so much love for each other, and we care for each other so much and I think that really just shows and like we trust each other so much that we know we can prevail through anything and that's really helped us through the year", said Raegan Terrel.

"I think we've done great so fa. Our team chemistry is so well. We're such good friends like we can goof around and know our limits and we know how to play with each other, and know where we're going to be. It's just so fun to be apart of this team", said Kynsli Gillmore.

In their first ever season as an institution, the Minot North Sentinels have punched their ticket into the WDA Tournament this Thursday at the Magic City Campus.

The North Sentinels enter into the WDA tournament on a 6 game winning streak, and they'll look to stay hot against their rivals in round one.

"We ended our season .500 which is really good to be a first year program. Honestly, every game that we go into starting today and the rest of WDA, we're going out there and we're leaving it out there, because this may or may not be our last game tonight could've been our last game, but you know we went out there because we didn't want it to be. I'm not playing volleyball after this I'm playing college softball ,so I'm leaving it all out because I'm never playing volleyball again so that's where I'm at and I love my teammates because they're going to do the same for me. They've told me like we're going to leave it out there", said Cady Shipman.

In season number one, the Sentinels were able to accomplish their season goal of making it to the WDA Tournament.

"This was our goal to make it to WDA tournament to see where we're at and leave it all out there and we've really done a good job believing even though things haven't been easy. The WDA is a really tough conference an every night quality opponents and we've really grown a lot as a team and I'm very proud of their growth and preparedness and the time and work that they've put in", said Head Coach Kari Francis.

"We still need to have the same idea where we need to have all of our energy put on the court. We need to play as a team. It's not just going to one person it's going to be all of us playing together. We need to hype each other up because it is just our team against theirs ",Kate Weishaar.
