Eight-seed Voorhees mustered up a season-high seven goals in Glen Gardner to record a 7-3 victory over nine-seed Hopewell Valley during the first round of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Group 2 Tournament. Amanda Korfin led the charge for the Vikings with two goals and an assist in the victory. Nadia DiRe, Isabella Settembrini and Brooklyn Trego each recorded a goal and assist for Voorhees. Lillian Balzer and Kayla Ciculya both scored a goal as well for the Vikings. Kayla Iannace collected four saves for Voorhees, who has won four games in a row. Sierra Chow, Lilly Lawton and Raina Jablonski all scored a goal for Hopewell Valley (14-6). Voorhees (13-6-2) travels to play top-seed West Essex in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
