Waco Community Pink Walk coming Sept. 21

WACO, Texas ( FOX 44 ) – An annual event committed to fighting breast cancer is making its return this Saturday.

The Susan G. Komen Pink Walk looks to bring the Waco community together to share stories, laughter and a commitment to raise funds to aid in this fight. This event also celebrates survivors and those living with breast cancer, in addition to honoring loved ones lost.

Supporters are invited to join the organization for an evening in the Cameron Park Zoo, located at 1701 N. 4th Street, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. There will be a Survivor/Thriver area, a short opening ceremony and a loop around the zoo. If you would like to register or make a donation, you can go here .

Mission Waco to host Walk for the Homeless

The Susan G. Komen organization says it is committed to finding the cures. It seeks to have the community come together as one to fund research, increase access to care, show support and commit to action.
