Sensory-friendly showings

The Baylor Center for Developmental Disabilities will hold sensory-friendly showings of "Inside Out 2" at Cinemark Waco and XD Theater, starting at 9:35 a.m. Saturday.

During the sensory-friendly showings, the house lights will be on, the volume will be lowered, and closed captions will be on the screen. Guests are welcome to move about the auditorium, stim, dance or make sounds if needed. The movie will be available in three auditoriums, with Auditorium 10 hosting a low-energy environment, Auditorium 13, a higher-energy one where children can walk or run around freely as the movie is playing, and Auditorium 11, a mixture of low and high energy. Each movie showing will start promptly at 9:35 a.m. without any previews.

For tickets, go to Cinemark's online box office.

McLennan eventually settled in 1845 on the Brazos near Waco. Renowned as "the patriarch of the Bosque," Neil McLennan will share his life and times until his death in 1867.
