Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Mooresville raises $145,000

MOORESVILLE, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — The Alzheimer's Association Western Carolina Chapter held its annual Walk to End Alzheimer's events in Kannapolis and Mooresville on Saturday.

More than 750 participants from both walks honored those impacted by Alzheimer's with a poignant promise garden ceremony.

Walkers carried flowers of various colors representing their personal connections to the disease. Chief meteorologist Tara Lane was at the event in support of the cause.

More than $145,000 has been raised so far, which funds care, support and research programs of the Alzheimer's Association.
