Walmart's Early Black Friday Sale has launched. But while some of the deals are available at great prices, others offer more hype than savings.

The retailer continues to offer early sale price access to Walmart Plus members in 2024, with subscribers getting an early crack at sale prices yesterday morning. We still consider the membership program most viable only for shoppers who patronize Walmart as their primary option, but it does net subscribers free shipping on lower cost items in addition to other benefits .

We'll be tracking all the Walmart sales on expert-recommended Wirecutter picks until the sale ends November 17. For all the early Black Friday deals worth the spend, check out our main early Black Friday sale roundup .

Offering nearly identical features as our top pick, but at a lower price similar level of quality, this is a great choice for those who want a full-featured TV for less. It dispels a fair amount of screen reflections and runs on Google TV, our favorite smart-TV platform.

Other things to know: Brightness and black-level performance isn't as good as those of our top pick. As with most LCD TVs, you don't get the best horizontal viewing angles. Looks better with 4K HDR video than it does with lower-resolution sources. We disliked the flimsy stand design.

Samsung QN90D Series LCD/LED TV (65-Inch)

This sleek TV has a lightweight yet solid build and offers more color volume, better viewing angles, superior audio performance, lower input lag, and more HDMI 2.1 inputs than other models we tested. With consistent performance across sizes, it's one of the best options you can buy, especially for gamers who use multiple consoles.

Buying Options$1500 from

Other things to know: Doesn't support Dolby Vision HDR. Not as bright as our top pick, but brighter than our budget pick. Samsung's Tizen Smart Hub is fine, but overdesigned. Deal is for the 65-inch size.
