Most obituaries published in the Reading Eagle are submitted through funeral homes and cremation services, but we will accept submissions from families. Obituaries can be emailed to .

The Reading Eagle also requires a way to verify the death, so please include either the phone number of the funeral home or cremation service that is in charge of the deceased's care or a photo of his/her death certificate. All payments by families must be made with a credit card. We will send a proof of the completed obituary before we require payment. The obituary cannot run, however, until we receive payment in full.

Obituaries can be submitted for any future date, but they must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. the day prior to its running for it to be published.

The Berks County Sheriff's Office is seeking the following fugitives:

Curtis Smith-Little, 32, whose last known address was in the 400 block of Elm Street, Pottstown, is wanted on strangulation and simple assault charges.

Police said Smith-Little was driving in the victim's car on July 22 when they argued and Smith-Little began strangled the victim. He also took the victim's house keys and phone, then fled. Smith-Little is also wanted on a Montgomery County warrant for theft of leased property.

He is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 215 pounds.

Angela Cruz, 30, whose last known address was in the 3000 block of Ruby Crest Drive, Malvern, is wanted on simple assault charges.

Police said Cruz got into a verbal altercation with her mother on Sept. 2. A male got between Cruz and her mother, and Cruz punched him. She then punched her mother and pulled her hair. Cruz fled before police arrived.

She is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 160 pounds.
