Warm, dry weather could create fire danger in coming days

No hazardous weather is in the forecast for today, but warm, dry and breezy conditions over the next few days could create near critical fire weather conditions over the eastern part of the plains, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 53. South southeast wind 9 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 90. South wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 54. South southeast wind 7 to 14 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 84. Breezy, with a west wind 8 to 16 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 26 mph.
