Warm weather fades, snow this weekend..
I.Mitchell3 months ago
HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Wednesday will be the pinnacle for the week in terms of warm temperatures. A southwest wind will propel temperatures into the lower 60s in the Tri-Cities area to the lower 70s in the southwest. (KSNB) A cold front will move through the area on Wednesday night bringing breezy north winds and much cooler temperatures for Thanksgiving, where highs will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s over southern areas, with lower 30s north under partly to mostly cloudy skies. (ksnb) Friday though Sunday morning, we’ll be tracking an upper level disturbance that will bring a chance for accumulating snow to the regions. Snow will begin Thanksgiving night in the Panhandle and parts of northern Nebraska. The snow will impact mainly Western Nebraska, struggling to push as far east as the Tri-Cities and highway 281. Snow chances will increase on Saturday as the disturbance builds snow eastward during the day. It’s too early to determine snow amounts for now, but that will increase as the track and strength of the system evolves. (KSNB) Temperatures will remain colder with highs in the 30s with morning low falling as low as the mid to upper teens during the morning hours of Sunday and Monday. (KSNB)
