Warren Family Mission needs items for Thanksgiving dinner

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Warren Family Mission will be serving its Thanksgiving dinner in two weeks. The organization still needs some necessities for the holiday meal, however. Between in-person meals, those taken to-go and deliveries, the mission is expecting to feed 2,500 people during the annual community meal. The organization says it needs about 150 more turkeys for the Thanksgiving feast. The fixings, including stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, gravy, rolls and cookies, are also in short supply. The mission is hoping to get these food items soon since it begins thawing frozen turkeys to prepare for cooking this weekend. "Donating money is always the best thing you can do because it allows us to get the items that we're lacking, but if you wanted to go out and shop, we're still in need of everything at this point," Mararri said. Donations can be dropped off at the mission's building on Tod Avenue. Monetary donations can be made at warrenfamilymission.org . The annual Thanksgiving dinner runs from noon to 2 p.m. on November 27. For the latest news, weather, sports, and streaming video, head to WKBN.com.
