Washington Co./Johnson City leaders update public in wake of catastrophic flooding

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Leaders from the Washington County/Johnson City Emergency Management Agency, Emergency Medical Services, and fire and law enforcement joined Washington County Mayor Joe Grandy and Johnson City Manager Cathy Ball Saturday morning to brief the public after the catastrophic flood event on Friday.

A joint press release from the city and county said that emergency personnel are working around the clock in response to the effects of Hurricane Helene in the area.
