Brandin Cooks is starting to cook as the Dallas Cowboys’ offense heats up.

The Cowboys’ wide receiver and former Oregon State Beavers’ star has become a lot more involved in an offense that is putting up big numbers. Cooks caught a 31-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Dak Prescott during the Cowboys’ 45-10 win over the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving Day.

Cooks’ touchdown catch was part of his four receptions (five targets) for a team-leading 72 yards in the game. Cooks’ scoring grab was his fourth of the season, and he has caught a touchdown in four of his past six games. Cooks has caught 33 passes for 452 yards and four touchdowns this season.

Since catching just one pass for seven yards during the Cowboys’ 28-23 Week 9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Cooks has caught 16 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns in his past three games. He caught a combined 17 passes for 165 yards during his first seven games.

The Cowboys’ offense is rolling right now. They are averaging a league-leading 31.5 points a game and their 45 points against the Commanders is the fourth time they have scored at least 40 points this season and they have reached that mark three times in the last five games.
