A horrifying video shows screaming passengers being hurled towards the ceiling as turbulence rocked a Miami -bound flight from Europe. The footage was filmed by a shocked passenger on board Scandinavian Airlines Flight 957 from Stockholm which was forced to turn around and head back to Copenhagen even though it was almost at its destination. The packed Airbus A330 plummeted 8300 feet in seven minutes over the Atlantic Ocean after experiencing turbulence over Greenland, according to ABC News. A passenger traveling with his wife posted a video of the panic. "Look at her feet touching the [ceiling]! I thought we were going to [die]," he wrote over the film of a woman being flung upwards and a Coke bottle flying above their heads. The airline said 254 adults and a baby were on board. No serious injuries were reported. "People were screaming," a passenger said. The plane landed safely without any further issues. Air passengers have been warned they face delays after UK air traffic control systems were hit by a technical fault. The National Air Traffic Services (NATS), the country's leading provider of air traffic control services, said it has applied traffic flow restrictions on Monday to maintain safety following a technical issue. The PA news agency understands passengers boarding flights both to and from the UK have been told of the fault. In a statement, NATS said: "We are currently experiencing a technical issue and have applied traffic flow restrictions to maintain safety. "Engineers are working to find and fix the fault. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause." A Heathrow spokesperson said: "As a result of national airspace issues there is disruption to flights across the UK. Passengers are advised to check with their airline for the latest information. "We are working closely with NATS and other airport partners to minimise the impact this has on passengers." Meanwhile, airline Loganair warned customers they may experience delays as a "network-wide failure" has affected air-traffic control systems on Monday morning. BBC presenter Gabby Logan said she had been caught up by the issue. She posted on X: "On a plane on the runway at Budapest airport. After almost 3 weeks away from home I am hours from hugging my family. "And have just been told UK airspace is shut. We could be here for 12 hours. So we sit on the plane and wait." Wanda Sykes said that even though she "got her hopes up," about Kamala Harris potentially winning the election, she wasn't surprised when Donald Trump won—and she revealed why on Tuesday's Jimmy Kimmel Live. "I mean it's so many reasons why you can say it happened," Sykes said on the show, "But I think you know, a lot of us aren't, like, totally shocked" because "sometimes America is just gonna America." Even though she wasn't floored by the results, Sykes admitted she's not feeling great about WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Members of President-elect Donald Trump's transition team are drawing up a list of military officers to be fired, potentially to include the Joint Chiefs of Staff, two sources said, in what would be an unprecedented shakeup at the Pentagon. The planning for the firings is at an early stage after Trump's Nov. 5 election victory and could change as Trump's administration takes shape, said the sources, who are familiar with the Trump transition and requested anonymity to speak candidly about the plans. One of the sources questioned the feasibility of a mass firing at the Pentagon. The U.S. Senate election in Pennsylvania between Democratic incumbent Sen. Bob Casey and Republican David McCormick is headed for a statewide recount, as counties continued Wednesday to sort through outstanding ballots and the campaigns jousted over which ones should count. The Associated Press called the race for McCormick last week, concluding that not enough ballots remained to be counted in areas Casey was winning for him to take the lead. A noon deadline passed Wednesday for Casey to waive his right to a statewide recount and Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro's top election official, Secretary of State Al Schmidt, a Republican, announced that preliminary results had triggered a legally required statewide recount.
