WATCH: Winnsboro fake punt, one-handed catch

WINNSBORO, Texas (KLTV) - The Malakoff Tigers and the Winnsboro Red Raiders battle Friday night with a district championship on the line. Winnsboro got the ball first and drove right down the field for a touchdown. Their 10-play, 80-yard drive was capped off with a 19-yard touchdown pass from Nolee Carroll to Braxtun Espinosa. The extra point was good and Winnsboro led 7-0 with 9:01 left in the first quarter. Both teams traded punts before the Tigers got the ball back with 4 minutes remaining in the first quarter. Malakoff wasted little time finding the end zone when Jason Tennyson scampered 65 yards to put the Tigers on the board and with 2:53 left in the first quarter, the score was tied at 7. Winnsboro's next drive went 51 yards in 14 plays and was capped off with a 16-yard touchdown reception by Mississippi State commit, Camden Capehart. The extra point was good and with 10:53 left in the first half, the Red Raiders led 14-7. Neither team would be able to find the end zone again in the first half, making the halftime score 14-7.
