Waverly man arrested as fugitive from justice out of Bradford County

ELMIRA, N.Y. ( WETM ) – A Waverly man has been arrested as a fugitive from justice out of Bradford County, Pennsylvania, after failing to appear in court on a different charge.

According to the Chemung County Sheriff's Office, Marcus J. Campbell, 41, was arrested on separate charges on Friday, Sept. 13, after being located in the City of Elmira.

After he was brought to the Chemung County Jail, deputies say that they discovered that Campbell was a fugitive from justice out of Pennsylvania for failure to appear on an identity theft charge. He was then held on the warrant and processed as a fugitive from justice.

Campbell had his charges read to him in the Chemung County Court and was returned to the Chemung County Jail where he awaits extradition to Pennsylvania.
