Week 12 afternoon slate: A win for the Bills is a win for the 49ers

The morning slate saw a game with high-level quarterback play in the Texans and the Jaguars. But outside of that, it was a sight for sore eyes. Hopefully, we will be treated to better football this afternoon. The Bills are on the road after firing their offensive coordinator. Tough to blame Ken Dorsey when the quarterback turns the ball over. But a change was necessary, despite that needing to be the head coach. A Buffalo win would mean the Eagles drop a game in the standings. The 49ers can jump Philadelphia if the Eagles lose today then again next week. It wouldn’t hurt if Philly dropped another game along the way, either. I have my doubts that Buffalo can pull off the upset. The Cardinals are competitive with Kyler Murray under center. The Rams are a playoff team with Matthew Stafford at quarterback. But both defenses are abysmal, so whichever quarterback messes up the least will win. Speaking of mistakes, Russell Wilson has already fumbled the ball in Browns ’ territory. Cleveland rolls out DTR for another game with Deshaun Watson out. Denver has been much better on defense, and them winning at home despite having a worse record shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. Finally, it’s Patrick Mahomes against Aidan O’Connell. This is not the type of Chiefs’ squad that blows out opponents.
