Week 10 Waiver Wire: Top Pickups and Drops After Evaluating Week 9 Box Scores

Between Chris Olave being carted off the field, Dak Prescott's early exit and A.J. Brown being ruled out of the second half, the injury bug was unfortunately active over the weekend.

Just like in real football, though, it's next man up in the fantasy realm, so we'll spotlight a couple of potential waiver-wire additions rostered in fewer than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues, per FantasyPros . And for managers unsure of how to handle underperforming players, we'll also touch on a couple of players with 50-plus percent rostership who don't need to be kept around.

With the Chargers playing the ground-and-pound game early and often to start head coach Jim Harbaugh's tenure, it was fair to wonder whether this season might be a wash (in fantasy purposes) for Justin Herbert.

L.A.'s passing game has considerably ramped up its volume of late, allowing Herbert to throw multiple touchdowns in consecutive games for the first time this season and average 303.3 passing yards over his last three outings. He has put himself back in the viable-streamer tier, and if he keeps this up, he'll warrant starting consideration sooner than later.

Caleb Williams has two games with 50-plus rushing yards and none with a rushing touchdown. Why start a conversation about a quarterback with rushing stats? Because if you aren't rostering Williams for his perceived ball-carrying ability, then what are you rostering him for?

It can't be for his passing production. Sure, he delivered four passing touchdowns a few weeks back, but he's also had four games—including each of his last two—with zero passing touchdowns. He's averaging just 191.3 passing yards over his last three outings and has a 49.2 completion percentage over his last two.

Carolina's passing attack is about as lifeless as any you'll find around the league. Xavier Legette is still providing fantasy relevance in spite of that.

He might seldom impress with targets (five different outings with fewer than five targets) and maybe never will with yardage (season-high is 66), but touchdowns are a fantasy receiver's best friend. And the rookie first-rounder is starting to deliver those with impressive regularity.

His second-quarter scoring grab Sunday gave him back-to-back games with a touchdown catch for the first time. It also marked his fourth scoring effort in his last six games. That's a streak worth noticing, and if you're in need of a spark, you could do a lot worse than wagering that his heater might continue.

Xavier Worthy, this year's No. 28 pick, opened his NFL career with a bang. Back in Week 1, he needed just three touches (two receptions and one rush) to tally two touchdowns.

The problem is he has just three touchdowns to show for the seven games he's played since. Only one of those scoring plays has come within his last three appearances. And if you played him Monday night, he actually did damage to your team, since he didn't corral either of his two targets and lost 10 yards on his two carries.

With Travis Kelce and DeAndre Hopkins monopolizing the opportunities in this aerial attack, Worthy's role has been reduced to an untenable level. Maybe there's still a week or two in which his speed combined with Patrick Mahomes' arm strength sparks some fireworks, but Worthy's floor has fallen too far to entrust him with a roster spot.
