West Babylon Fire Department Welcomes Three New Members

WEST BABYLON, NY — The West Babylon Fire Department recently welcomed three new members to its ranks during its August meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the West Babylon Fire District

Probationary firefighters Sean Ehrichs and Elias Grefe were welcomed to the department during a ceremony. While Ehrichs was accepted as a member of Engine Company 3, Grefe is now a member of Engine Company 8.

The next day, Margaret Dodenhoff was sworn into the department's Rescue Squad.

According to fire department officials, Grefe served as a department's Junior Fire Brigade member before joining Engine Company 8. To mark his advancement, Assistant Chief Fischer traded Ehis junior shield for his new probationary firefighter shield.
