Western Reserve stays undefeated, pulls away from Lowellville for 41-22 win

LOWELLVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) -Western Reserve stayed undefeated Friday, scoring two fourth quarter touchdowns to pull away from host Lowellville, 41-22.

The Blue Devils (5-0) also got a bit of payback over the Rockets (3-2), who knocked Western Reserve out of the playoffs last year.

The Blue Devils led throughout but with 11:55 left in the game were leading by just five points at 27-22 before reeling off two straight touchdowns to secure the victory.

The Rockets were trailing 27-14 at the end of the third quarter but scored quickly in the fourth quarter to cut into the lead.

The Blue Devils also led 13-6 after the first quarter, scoring first for a 7-0 lead. The Rockets cut the lead to 7-6 but Western Reserve scored again before the quarter ended for the six-point lead.

Western Reserve will visit Campbell in week six. Lowellville will visit Mineral Ridge .
