What $500,000 can buy you on northern Oregon coast, Sept. 23 to 29

For prospective homebuyers eyeing the real estate market in areas of the northern Oregon coast, here's what sold for or under $500,000 between Sep. 23 and Sep. 29.

Below, we provide an overview of the top six properties in each area, chosen for their proximity to the desired price range and the largest living spaces.

This single-family residence, featuring three bedrooms and two baths, underwent a change of ownership in September. Located in the 24400 block of N.E. Lake Blvd., Rockaway Beach, the home spans 1,859 square feet and was sold for $497,500, or $268 per square foot. The property sits on a lot measuring 3,920 square feet, and it was built in 1995. The deal was finalized on Sept. 20.

At $485,000 ($390 per square foot), the condominium located in the 1000 block of N. Holladay Dr., Seaside offered another opportunity below the targeted price range when it changed hands in September. This property, built in 2007, provides 1,244 square feet of living space, featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The deal was finalized on Sept. 20.

In September, a single-family home, with two bedrooms and two baths, located in the 1500 block of S.W. Ocean Ct., Waldport, changed ownership. The property, covering 1,588 square feet, was built in 2020 and was sold for $475,000, which calculates to $299 per square foot. The lot size encompasses 0.5-acre. The deal was finalized on Sept. 16.

For a price tag of $455,000 ($301 per square foot), the single-family residence, built in 1974 and located in the 42100 block of Bagley Lane, Astoria changed hands in September. The home spans 1,511 square feet of living area, with three bedrooms and two baths. The property comprises a 0.5-acre lot. The deal was finalized on Sept. 20.

Priced at $449,000 (equivalent to $259 per square foot), this detached house, constructed in 2007 and situated in the 2900 block of S.W. Beach Ave., Lincoln City, was sold in September. The home spans 1,734 square feet of living area, with three bedrooms and three baths. The property comprises a 4,792-square-foot lot. The deal was finalized on Sept. 13.

The single-family residence located in the 33600 block of Salminen Lane, Seaside offered an option at $430,000, (which equates to $189 per square foot). This property features 2,279 square feet of living area, with three bedrooms and two baths and was built in 1989. The lot spans over 5.0-acre. The deal was finalized on Sept. 17.
