Kamala Harris supporters chanted "lock him up," when the Democratic nominee told the crowd at a Michigan rally on Friday that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was an "unserious" man who should not be allowed near the White House.

"Here's the thing about that. The courts are going to take care of that," she said, referencing the Republican nominee's multiple criminal cases.

"We're gonna take care of November," she said, talking about winning the presidential election.

Harris supporters also erupted in a chorus of "Happy Birthday" for the Democratic presidential nominee, who turns 60 this weekend.

Harris' birthday is Sunday. She is 18 years younger than Trump. President Joe Biden, who is 81, stepped away from the presidential race earlier this year over concerns about his age.

"Thank you!" Harris said to the singing crowd. And let's get to work."

She was in Michigan trying to shore up support from union workers ahead of the election.

Harris said she was a "living recipient of what collective bargaining can do," and that bargaining benefits "our entire nation."
